The clinical team

The Dementia Service is a UK private memory clinic operated by Telesphorus Health Limited. The clinical team is responsible for diagnostic assessment, structured reporting and prescribing in the clinic, and for writing and reviewing content on dementia.co.uk.

Team composition

The team includes:

• Consultant psychiatrists in old age psychiatry: registered with the General Medical Council, on the specialist register, with substantial experience in dementia diagnosis and management;
• Geriatricians: senior physicians specialising in older adult medicine;
• Clinical psychologists: registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, specialising in cognitive assessment and behavioural intervention;
• Dementia specialist nurses: registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with focused training in dementia care.

For specific clinical questions about treatment under The Dementia Service, the named clinician responsible for your care is identified in the assessment letter and on the clinic's website.

Regulation

All clinicians on the team are registered with the appropriate UK regulator:

• General Medical Council (GMC) for doctors;
• Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for clinical psychologists;
• Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for nurses.

The Dementia Service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) where applicable for its service activities.
