What the site does not do

Conflicts of interest

The Dementia Service is a UK private memory clinic and benefits commercially from people who choose private memory clinic services. We declare this prominently. Editorial decisions on what to publish and what to recommend are made on clinical merit, in line with NICE and ICD-11, not on the basis of what would drive referrals to The Dementia Service. Independent UK charity services and NHS pathways are signposted throughout.

Funding

The site is funded by Telesphorus Health Limited. There is no advertising on clinical pages, no commercial sponsorship of clinical content, and no paid placement of treatments or providers.

Data and privacy

The site collects minimal analytics data (page views, anonymous geographic information) to inform editorial priorities. We do not collect identifiable health information without your explicit consent. See privacy policy.

Information Standard

dementia.co.uk works towards alignment with the principles of the Patient Information Forum Trusted Information Creator (TICK) and equivalent UK information quality standards, even though the formal accreditation regimes have evolved.

Complaints

Complaints about editorial content can be sent via the contact form or in writing to the editorial team. We acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and aim to respond fully within 30 days.
