In plain English
dementia.co.uk is the UK's authority on dementia information, powered by The Dementia Service, the leading UK Private Memory Clinic. The site is free, advertising-free on clinical pages, and editorially independent of any individual referral pathway.
Mission
To be the most trustworthy, comprehensive and accessible UK source of information on dementia and related cognitive conditions. The site is designed for the person who has just received a diagnosis, the family member or carer trying to understand what comes next, the health or social care professional who wants a quick refresher, and the visitor arriving via a Google search before any clinical contact.
Who runs the site

Conflicts of interest
The Dementia Service is a private memory clinic and benefits commercially from people who choose private assessment. We declare this prominently. Editorial decisions on what to publish are made on clinical merit, in line with NICE and ICD-11, and not based on what would drive referrals to The Dementia Service. Independent UK charity services and NHS pathways are signposted throughout.
